A new set of metal complexes by the general formula [M(C)2(H2O)2]Cl2 has been prepared through the interaction of the new Ligand [N1, N4-bis(4-chlorophenyl)succinamide] (C) derived from succinyl chloride with 4-Chloroaniline with the transition metal ions Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Hg(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II). Compounds diagnosed by TGA, 1 H, 13CNMR and Mass spectra (for (C)), Fourier-transform infrared and Electronic spectrum, Magnetic measurement, molar conduct, (%M, %C, %H, %N). These measurements indicate that (C) is associated with the metal ion in a bi-dentate fashion by nitrogen atoms (the amide group) and the octahedral composition of these complexes is suggested. The anti-bacterial action of the compounds towards three types of bacteria Pseudomonas (+), Staphylococcus aureus (+), and Escherichia Coli (_ ) were studied.
Tetradentate bidentate Schiff base (L1) from 4-amino-1.5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1.2-dihydropyrazol-3-one and 2-(1H-indol-3-yl)-ethylamine and benzene-1.4-dicarbaldehyde was synthesized and characterized as novel antioxidants. The Schiff base and its metal complexes Mn(II), Co(II),Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Re(V) have been characterized by elemental microanalysis, metal content, chloride-containing, molar conductance, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, UVVis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, mass spectra (MS), and thermal analysis (TGA). The structures of the prepared compounds were observed by antioxidant activities of the Schiff bases derivatives were investigated due to the imine group (-C=N-) and promising results were obtained. The results confirmed that c

... Show MoreA first step in this research was to synthesize Schiff's bases(1-3)using an Amoxcilline intensification reaction with different aromatic aldehydes in absolute ethanol. In benzene and refluxing conditions,Schiff's bases were cyclized with succinic and Phthalic anhydride to give a new sequence of 1,3-oxazepine derivatives(4-6) and (7-9),respectively.The last step, cyclization reactions with sodium azide in THF solvent resulted in the formation of [10 and 11], which are supposed to be biologically significant.FT.IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR (for compound 4,7,9, and 11),as well as melting points reported, were used to characterize these prepared compounds ,Bacillus (G+), Staphylococcus (G+), and E.Coli (G-)were screened against these compounds. . ... Show MoreTrimethoprim derivative Schiff bases are versatile ligands synthesized with carbonyl groups from the condensation of primary amines (amino acids). Because of their broad range of biological activity, these compounds are very important in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal and antitumor activity are often seen. Transition metal complexes derived from biological activity Schiff base ligands have been commonly used.
In this work, lanthanium (III) complexes were synthesized using by Schiff base ligand (L) derived from benzaldehyde and o-aminoaniline with five amino acids (AA) from glycine (Gly), L-alanine (Ala), L-valine (Val), L-asparagine (Asp) and DL- phenylalanine (Phe). The Schiff base ligand has been characterized by elemental analysis, (MASS, FTIR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, UV-VIS) electronic spectra. The structures of the new complexes have been described of analysis of elements, molar conductivity, (UV-Vis electronic, FTIR, mass) spectra also magnetic moment. The molar conductivity values of the complexes indicat this every of complexes are electrolytes and other analytical studies reveal octahedral geometry for La (III) ion. The Schiff base ligand, five

Show MoreIn this paper ,six new mixed metal ligand complexes are reported with Cephalexin (Ceph.H)as a primary ligand and Dimethylglyoxime (DMG) as secondary ligand with metal Chloride [MCl2 .nH2O. M=Mn(II),Co(II),Cu(II),Ni(II) and Zn(II),n=0-6] ,CrCl3.6H2O.The complexes are of (1:1:1)(Metal:Ligand: Ligand) Stoichiometry. The structures of these complexes are confirmed by using FT-IR and UV- electronic spectroscopies, magnetic moments, melting points, molar conductivity measurements and the metal % analysis revealed that the complexes analyze indicates a four coordinated as (A)=[M(HDMG) (Ceph)] .M=[Ni(II)and Zn(II).Six coordinated as (B) = K2[M(DMG)(CePh)(H2O)]. M= Mn (II),Co(II) and Cu(II) and (C)=[Cr(DMG)(Ceph)]Cl2. Interestingly, the in-vitro anti

This study aims to prepare new compounds and investigate them spectroscopically and biologically against selected types of positive and negative bacteria and fungi to demonstrate their biological effectiveness. The prepared ligand combining formaldehyde, indole, sulfa benzamide, and 2-mercapto benzimidazole, a Mannich base ligand (L) was synthesized. The six metal ions including Cobalt (II), Nickel (II), Copper (II), Palladium (II), Platinum (IV), and gold (III) have interacted with the ligand and formed new complexes. Different spectroscopic methods, including C.H.N.S., FTIR, UV- Range visible, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, mass spectra, magnetic moment, and molar conductivity were used to suggest the new geometry of the complexes.
