Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles via Black and Green Tea and Study its Toxicity on few Vital Organs of Female Mice
...Show More Authors

This study included synthesizing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in a green method using AgNO3 solution with glucose exposed to microwave radiation. The prepared NPs were also characterized using ultraviolet and visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The UV/vis spectroscopy confirmed the production of AgNPs, while SEM analysis showed that the typical spherical AgNPs were 30 nm and 50 nm in size for the NPs prepared using black tea (B) and green tea (G) as reducing agent, respectively. The changes in some of the biochemical parameters related to the liver and kidneys have been analyzed to evaluate the probable toxic effects of AgNPs. 40 adult male mice were included in this study. To assess the probable health effects of the prepared AgNPs, an experiment has been designed that includes 40 adult mice, and it was randomly divided into three groups as follows: Group I (C): The control group consisting of 10 animals was injected intraperitoneally with PBS for 15 days. Second (G): included 10 animals who were injected with 0.1 mL of (2) mg/kg (G) intraperitoneally for 15 days. Group B included 10 animals injected with 0.1 mL of (2 mg/kg) (B) solution intraperitoneally for 15 days. Changes in some biochemical parameters related to the liver and kidneys were analyzed to assess potential toxic effects on the function of these vital organs. The serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT)(IU/L), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (IU/L), and cholesterol (mg/dL) as parameters of liver function were analyzed, and the serum levels of uric acid, creatinine, and urea (mg/dL) were analyzed as parameters of kidney function. The results revealed that no significant changes occurred in organ weight in groups treated with AgNPs compared with the control. However, the results showed a significant increase in ALT enzyme level in the third group compared with its level in the control group. Meanwhile, there were no significant differences in ALT level between the second group and the control. The level of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) enzyme was significantly increased in both groups (2 and 3) in comparison with its level in the control group. No significant differences were found in cholesterol levels between the groups. Also, there were no significant differences found in uric acid levels between the groups. At the same time, creatinine level increased significantly in group 2 (where the NPs prepared using Black tea as a reducing agent) compared to its level in the control group. Urea level increased significantly in both groups (2 and 3) in comparison with its level in the control group. We conclude that the submission to AgNPs causes toxicity in the liver and kidneys.

The Distribution of ABO blood groups among type 2 Diabetes mellitus patients with or without Chronic Microvascular Complications
...Show More Authors

The ABO blood group system is highly polymorphic, with more than 20 distinct sub-groups; study findings are usually related to ABO phenotype, but rarely to the ABO genotype and animal models are unsatisfactory because their antigen glycosylation structure is different from humans. Both the ABO and Rh blood group systems have been associated with a number of diseases, but this is more likely related to the presence or absence of these tissue antigens throughout the body and not directly or primarily related to their presence on RBCs. A total of fifty-two 52 patients without complication of DMII, two hundred sixteen 216 patients with complication of DMII and seventy-one 71 person as healthy control were included in the study. Discharge performance assessment of a vertical double-pipe latent heat storage unit equipped with circular Y-shaped fins
...Show More Authors

This paper aims to study the effect of circular Y-shaped fin arrangement to improve the low thermal response rates of a double-tube heat exchanger containing Paraffin phase change material (PCM). ANSYS software is employed to perform the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations of the heat exchanger, including fluid flow, heat transfer, and the phase change process. The optimum state of the fin configuration is derived through sensitivity analysis by evaluating the geometrical parameters of the Y-shaped fin. For the same height of the fins (10 mm), the solidification time is reduced by almost 22%, and the discharging rate is enhanced by almost 26% using Y-shaped fins compared with the straight fins. The results demonstrate that the sol

Translation Techniques In Reproducing The Semantics Of Russian Political Terms: Переводческие Приемы В Воспроизведении Семантики Русскоязычных Политических Терминов
...Show More Authors

Political terminology differs from any other type of terminology not only in the presence of political terminology, but also in content, structure, functions and the recipient who perceives it. Taking this into account, it is inappropriate to consider the semantic difficulties of translating Russian-language political terms solely at the semantic level. In our opinion, it is inextricably linked with the lexical, syntactic and grammatical levels. If we combine all 4 levels, then the following translation techniques can be distinguished: lexical borrowing (transcription / transliteration, tracing); modulation; generalization / concretization; omission / addition; descriptive translation; conversion [Komissarov 2013]. One of the most

Analyzing big data sets by using different panelized regression methods with application: Surveys of multidimensional poverty in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Poverty phenomenon is very substantial topic that determines the future of societies and governments and the way that they deals with education, health and economy. Sometimes poverty takes multidimensional trends through education and health. The research aims at studying multidimensional poverty in Iraq by using panelized regression methods, to analyze Big Data sets from demographical surveys collected by the Central Statistical Organization in Iraq. We choose classical penalized regression method represented by The Ridge Regression, Moreover; we choose another penalized method which is the Smooth Integration of Counting and Absolute Deviation (SICA) to analyze Big Data sets related to the different poverty forms in Iraq. Abstract<p>With the recent growth of global populations, main roads in cities have witnessed an evident increase in the number of vehicles. This has led to unprecedented challenges for authorities in managing the traffic of ambulance vehicles to provide medical services in emergency cases. Despite the high technologies associated with medical tracks and advanced traffic management systems, there is still a current delay in ambulances’ attendance in times of emergency to provide patients with vital aid. Therefore, it is indispensable to introduce a new emergency service system that enables the ambulance to reach the patient in the least congested and shortest paths. However, designing an effici</p> ... Show More

Sovereign wealth funds have their role in reducing the price shocks of crude oil With reference to Iraq
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Sovereign wealth funds are an important tool for achieving economic stability and avoiding the local economy from external shocks, including the shocks of international oil prices. The spread of these funds is the result of large current account surpluses in many Asian and oil-exporting economies. These surpluses are due to higher commodity prices Has led to a rapid accumulation of foreign assets in central banks. Many countries with rent economies face the problem of their dependence on non-renewable natural resources, especially the oil countries, including Iraq. Oil revenues are more than 97% of oil exports, so they suffer from structural imbal
