Predication of Most Significant Features in Medical Image by Utilized CNN and Heatmap.
...Show More Authors

The growth of developments in machine learning, the image processing methods along with availability of the medical imaging data are taking a big increase in the utilization of machine learning strategies in the medical area. The utilization of neural networks, mainly, in recent days, the convolutional neural networks (CNN), have powerful descriptors for computer added diagnosis systems. Even so, there are several issues when work with medical images in which many of medical images possess a low-quality noise-to-signal (NSR) ratio compared to scenes obtained with a digital camera, that generally qualified a confusingly low spatial resolution and tends to make the contrast between different tissues of body are very low and it difficult to computed and recognized dependably. In this paper, we target to utilized CNN and heatmap to recognized most significant features that the network should focus on it. depending on class activation mapping. The goal of this study is to develop an approach that can determine the most significant features from medical images (such as x-ray, CT, MRI) through gradient the different tissue accurately by made use of heatmap. In our model, we take the gradient with regard to the final convolutional layer and after that weigh it towards the output of this layer. The model is based upon class activation mapping. However, the model is differed from traditional activation mapping based methods, that this model is the dependent on gradients via obtaining the weight of all activation map via make use of it is forward passing score over target class, then the final result is apart from linear combination of activation and weights. The results appears that the model is successfully distortion heat map of tissues in various medical image techniques and obtained better visual accuracy and fairness for interpretation the decision-making procedure.

The Effect of NF-κB Deactivation on Cancer Cell Response to ALA Mediated Photodynamic Therapy

due to the presence of chemoresistance and the risk of tumor recurrence and metastasis. There is a pressing necessity to develop efficient treatments to improve response for treatment and increase prolong survival of breast cancer patients. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has attracted interest for its features as a noninvasive and relatively selective cancer treatment. This method relies on light-activated photosensitizers that, upon absorbing light, generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) with powerful cell-killing outcomes. Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), a transcription factor, plays a key role in cancer development by regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Inhibiting NF-κB can sensitize tumor cells to chemotherapeuti

Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil using Cao-Egg Shell Waste Derived Heterogeneous Catalyst
...Show More Authors

Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly fuel and a good substitution for the fossil fuel. However, the purity of this fuel is a major concern that challenges researchers. In this study, a calcium oxide based catalyst has been prepared from local waste eggshells by the calcination method and tested in production biodiesel. The eggshells were powdered and calcined at different temperatures (700, 750, 800, 850 and 900 °C) and periods of time (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 hr.). The effect of calcination temperature and calcination time on the structure and activity of the solid catalyst were examined by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Brunaure-Emmett-Teller (BET). The optimum catalyst performance was obtained at 900 °C

Push-out test of steel–concrete–steel composite sections with various core materials: behavioural study
...Show More Authors

Steel–concrete–steel (SCS) structural systems have economic and structural advantages over traditional reinforced concrete; thus, they have been widely used. The performance of concrete made from recycled rubber aggregate from scrap tires has been evaluated since the early 1990s. The use of rubberized concrete in structural construction remains necessary because of its high impact resistance, increases ductility, and produces a lightweight concrete; therefore, it adds such important properties to SCS members. In this research, the use of different concrete core materials in SCS was examined. Twelve SCS specimens were subjected to push-out monotonic loading for inspecting their mechanical performance. One specimen was constructed from co

Strength compensation of deep beams with large web openings using carbon fiber–reinforced polymer sheets
...Show More Authors

This article presents the results of an experimental investigation of using carbon fiber–reinforced polymer sheets to enhance the behavior of reinforced concrete deep beams with large web openings in shear spans. A set of 18 specimens were fabricated and tested up to a failure to evaluate the structural performance in terms of cracking, deformation, and load-carrying capacity. All tested specimens were with 1500-mm length, 500-mm cross-sectional deep, and 150-mm wide. Parameters that studied were opening size, opening location, and the strengthening factor. Two deep beams were implemented as control specimens without opening and without strengthening. Eight deep beams were fabricated with openings but without strengthening, while

Flexural Performance of Encased Pultruded GFRP I-Beam with High Strength Concrete under Static Loading
...Show More Authors

There is an interesting potential for the use of GFRP-pultruded profiles in hybrid GFRP-concrete structural elements, either for new constructions or for the rehabilitation of existing structures. This paper provides experimental and numerical investigations on the flexural performance of reinforced concrete (RC) specimens composite with encased pultruded GFRP I-sections. Five simply supported composite beams were tested in this experimental program to investigate the static flexural behavior of encased GFRP beams with high-strength concrete. Besides, the effect of using shear studs to improve the composite interaction between the GFRP beam and concrete as well as the effect of web stiffeners of GFRP were explored. Encasing the GFRP

An efficient Ag decorated CeO2 synergetic catalyst for improved catalytic reduction of lethal 4-nitrophenol
...Show More Authors

Catalytic reduction is considered an effective approach for the reduction of toxic organic pollutants from the environment, but finding an active catalyst is still a big challenge. Herein, Ag decorated CeO2 catalyst was synthesized through polyol reduction method and applied for catalytic reduction (conversion) of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) to 4-aminophenol (4-AP). The Ag decorated CeO2 catalyst displayed an outstanding reduction activity with 99% conversion of 4-NP in 5 min with a 0.61 min−1 reaction rate (k). A number of structural characterization techniques were executed to investigate the influence of Ag on CeO2 and its effect on the catalytic conversion of 4-NP. The outstanding catalytic performances of the Ag-CeO2 catalyst can be assigne

A greenway for sustainable transportation of the university campus: Diyala University as a case study
...Show More Authors

Transportation is one of the aspects that enable us to achieve sustainability on a university campus, by taking environmental, social, and economic requirements. Walking is a green mode that can be essential to promoting sustainable transport. This study aims to evaluate the ability of campus physical development planning at Diyala University in creating sustainable transport on campus by determining the problems that exist. The research problem was identified in the absence of a comprehensive view of the importance of greenway network connectivity in the sustainability of the campus and the most important barriers that prevent it from being achieved and the incentives to be activated. The methodology used in this study was the quantitative
