Objectives: 1. Assessment women’s knowledge about caesarean section. 2. Determining women’s knowledge in relation to their demographic characteristics (age, level of education, and economic status). Methodology: A descriptive design was conducted on Assessment Women’ Knowledge about Cesarean Section at Maternity and Pediatric Hospital in AL-Samawa City. This study started from 26th of September 2020 up to 16th March 2021. Sample of (100) married women who were at reproductive age, pregnant (prime or multipara ) who were planned to have birth by elective cesarean section or had previous elective caesarian section without medical indication or women who had cesarean section with medical indication or emergency. Results: Results of the study shows lowest mean of score for most questions were poor significance and other questions shows moderate mean of score for most questions in all domains. Conclusions: The study concludes that women had a poor knowledge level about cesarean section in the Maternity and Pediatric Hospital. Recommendations: The researcher recommends providing knowledge for pregnant women by nurses and midwives, during antenatal period regarding methods of delivery, its signs, characteristics, and complications.

This study is aimed to use the aerobic packed bed in biotreatment of the wastewater which is discharge from AL-KARAMA teaching hospital in Baghdad. The performance of packed-bed treatment method was examined for elimination of the organic compounds from wastewater under aerobic conditions. In this research different parameters were studied. They were: inoculums concentration, circulation rate of wastewater through the bed, packing type and the temperature. Results showed that the system efficiently removed about 82% of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) and 80% of the Biological oxygen demand (BOD). A total of 54 abu mullet Planiliza abu (Heckel, 1843) were collected from two stations (north and south stations) along the Euphrates River near Samawa City, Al-Muthanna province and were examined during the period from October 2016 till September 2017 for parasites. Six out of 35 examined fishes from the north station (17.1%) and one out of 19 examined fishes (5.3%) from south station were infected with the microcotylid Solostamenides paucitesticulatus Kritsky & Öktener, 2015. The parasite was illustrated and described, and it is considered as a new record for the parasitic fauna of fishes of Iraq.
