Objective:Fluorid-containing dental alginate impression materials can exert a considerable reduction in
enamel solubility. The objective was to evaluate the effect of fluoride addition on the setting time and
compressive strength of alginate impression materials.
Methodology: 60 samples were constructed from alginate impression material (30 samples for setting
time test and 30 samples for compressive strength test).Specimens of each test divided into three
subgroup. Group A: 10 specimens of alginate were mixed with distilled water [control], Group B: 10
specimens of alginate were mixed with100-ppm fluoride and Group C:10 specimens of alginate were
mixed with 2%Naf.

In this work, a functional nanocomposite consisting of multi walled carbon nanotubes combined with nanoparticles of silver and Pomegranate peel extract (MWCNTs- SNPs -NPGPE) was successfully synthesized using ultra sonic technique. The nanocomposite has been characterized using Transmission electron microscope (TEM), XRD, Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) UV-Vis and FTIR. Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) has been documented as an Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) technique, utilising laser-induced plasma, in order to analyse elements in materials (gases, liquids and solid). In the present work, nanocomposite of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) incorporated with functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) were fabricated using casting method. PVA was dispersed by varying content of FGO (0.3, 0.5, 0.8, 1 wt %). The PVA- FGO nanocomposite was characterized by FT‐IR, FE-SEM and XRD. Frequency dependence of real permittivity (ε’), imaginary (ε’’) and a.c conductivity of PVA/FGO and PVA/GO nanocomposite were studied in the frequency range 100 Hz- 1 MHz. The experimental results showed that the values of real (ε’) and imaginary permittivity (ε’’) increased dramatically by increasing the FGO content in PVA matrix.
