...Show More Authors

(Received 21 May 2019, Revised 30 September 2019, Accepted 21 October 2019)ABSTRACT : The results of the current study showed that the liver of H. javanicus appeared as large lobulated organ dividedinto six distinct lobes, that filled the cranial region and little extended to the middle region of abdominal cavity. On the otherhand, liver of S. carolinensis laid against the diaphragm, occupied the cranial region of the abdominal cavity and consisted of fivelobes. The liver is surrounded with a thin capsule of dense regular collagenous connective tissue and few numbers of smoothmuscles fibers can be seen in the capsule that covered the squirrel liver. The liver parenchyma divided into a large number ofinterconnected hepatic lobules marked only by the abundant amount of connective tissue bordered the triads, and within theselobules, polyhedral shaped hepatocytes are arranged as cords of one cell thick. The liver cords are enclosed by irregular hepaticsinusoids and ordered in radial fashion around the central vein. The portal areas are consisting of branches of the hepatic portalvein and hepatic artery as well as (1-4) branches of the bile duct that appear in different sizes.Cuboidal epithelium type is lined the small branches of these ducts, while the large sized of them is lined by columnarepithelium type, in which the goblet cells appeared to be more frequently and clearer in H. javanicus than S. carolinesis. Inweasel, sometimes the triad structures of large and small sized portal areas are embedded together in one abundant mass ofconnective tissue.

A Comparative Study of Pediatric Fracture Shaft Femur Fixating by Plate and Screws Using Lateral Approach Between Subvastus Lateralis and Transvastus Lateralis Outcome
...Show More Authors

BACKGROUND: Femoral shaft fracture is a common fracture in pediatric age group reaching 62% of all fracture shaft femur in children in spite of rapid union rate and successful conservative treatment but some cases need surgical intervention and one of the methods using plate and screw by the lateral approach. AIM: This study aims to compare functional outcome fixation of mid-shaft femur fracture in children by plate and screws between (subvastus lateralis and transvastus lateralis) regarding infection, union, and limitation of knee movement. PATIENT AND METHOD: The study was done on 30 children who had diaphyseal fracture femur in Al-Kindy Teaching Hospital in period (April 2018–April 2020) with 6 months follow-up, and the pa

A comparative study of Williamson-Hall method and size-strain method through X-ray diffraction pattern of cadmium oxide nanoparticle
...Show More Authors

In this research, the Williamson-Hall method and of size-strain plot method was employed to analyze X- ray lines for evaluating the crystallite size and lattice strain and of cadmium oxide nanoparticles. the crystallite size value is (15.2 nm) and (93.1 nm) and lattice strain (4.2 x10−4 ) and (21x10−4) respectively. Also, other methods have been employed to evaluate the crystallite size. The current methods are (Sherrer and modified Sherrer methods ) and their results are (14.8 nm) and (13.9nm) respectively. Each method of analysis has a different result because the alteration in the crystallite size and lattice strain calculated according to the Williamson-Hall and size-strain plot methods shows that the non-uniform strain in nan

...Show More Authors

The purpose of this paper is to identify the statistical indicators of the searched variables and identify the relationship between the cognitive learning outcome and the performance of the two mastering skills by parallel spherical standing and equilibrium on the balance beam. And the identification of the percentage of the cognitive learning outcome contribution to the performance of the two mastering skills by parallel spherical standing and the equilibrium on the balance beam. The two researchers used the descriptive approach in the survey method and the correlational relations, being the most appropriate to the nature of the research problem. Aim: To evaluate the effect of two bonding systems and two curing systems on sealing ability of class V composite restorative materials. Materials and methods: This study was performed in vitro on 40 caries free upper first premolar teeth. The Standardized class V cavity preparation on buccal and lin- gual surfaces of each tooth was done. Then the teeth were randomly divided into two major groups each of twenty. 40 cavities were performed on these teeth and the first group7th generation bonding agent (i Bond) were applied according to the manufacturer instructions and single increment of univer- sal composite (XRV Herculite) from kerr were applied and twenty of the cavities were cured with con- ventional light cure device (astralis-5) and t
