Estimation of tumor and local tissue dose in gold nanoparticles radiotherapy for prostate cancer
...Show More Authors

The objective of this research was to estimate the dose distribution delivered by radioactive gold nanoparticles (198 AuNPs or 199 AuNPs) to the tumor inside the human prostate as well as to normal tissues surrounding the tumor using the Monte-Carlo N-Particle code (MCNP-6.1. 1 code). Background Radioactive gold nanoparticles are emerging as promising agents for cancer therapy and are being investigated to treat prostate cancer in animals. In order to use them as a new therapeutic modality to treat human prostate cancer, accurate radiation dosimetry simulations are required to estimate the energy deposition in the tumor and surrounding tissue and to establish the course of therapy for the patient. Materials and methods A simple geometrical

RECURRENT OF TMPRSS2 GENETIC POLYMORPHISM AND ITS ROLE IN IRAQI PATIENTS WITH PROSTATE CANCER
...Show More Authors

The role of transmembrane protease serine 2(TMPRSS2) in prostate carcinogenesis relies on overexpression of ETS transcription factors. The aim of this article was to investigate the association of TMPRSS2 polymorphism (rs12329760 (C\T)) with prostate cancer (PCa) in sample of Iraqi patients. One hundred and two individuals were involved in this study for the period from February – 2019 to February – 2020. The sample type was formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue samples (FFPE), which involved  fifty-six samples of pre-diagnosed patients with prostate cancer, aged between 48 and 86 years, and forty-six samples were found to be controls (healthy group) dependent on Prostate Gland integrity, which is the same age as in a group o

Vocabulary Learning Strategies Employed by English as Foreign Language Students at NBU University
...Show More Authors

ABSTRACT

Learning vocabulary is a challenging task for female English as a foreign language (EFL) students. Thus, improving students’ knowledge of vocabulary is critical if they are to make progress in learning a new language. The current study aimed at exploring the vocabulary learning strategies used by EFL students at Northern Border University (NBU). It also aimed to identify the mechanisms applied by EFL students at NBU University to learn vocabulary. It also aimed at evaluating the approaches adopted by EFL female students at Northern Border University (NBU) to learn a language. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical method. Two research instruments were developed to collect data namely, a survey qu

Hamilton–Jacobi Inequality Adaptive Robust Learning Tracking Controller of Wearable Robotic Knee System
...Show More Authors

A Wearable Robotic Knee (WRK) is a mobile device designed to assist disabled individuals in moving freely in undefined environments without external support. An advanced controller is required to track the output trajectory of a WRK device in order to resolve uncertainties that are caused by modeling errors and external disturbances. During the performance of a task, disturbances are caused by changes in the external load and dynamic work conditions, such as by holding weights while performing the task. The aim of this study is to address these issues and enhance the performance of the output trajectory tracking goal using an adaptive robust controller based on the Radial Basis Function (RBF) Neural Network (NN) system and Hamilton

Build and Implemented Learning Package for Prolog Programming Language Using Visual Basic.Net 2010
...Show More Authors

E-Learning packages are content and instructional methods delivered on a computer
(whether on the Internet, or an intranet), and designed to build knowledge and skills related to
individual or organizational goals. This definition addresses: The what: Training delivered
in digital form. The how: By content and instructional methods, to help learn the content.
The why: Improve organizational performance by building job-relevant knowledge and
skills in workers.
This paper has been designed and implemented a learning package for Prolog Programming
Language. This is done by using Visual Basic.Net programming language 2010 in
conjunction with the Microsoft Office Access 2007. Also this package introduces several

The Effect of Jigsaw Strategy on Learning Spiking in Volleyball for Sophomore Students
...Show More Authors

The research aimed at designing teaching program using jigsaw in learning spiking in volleyball as well as identifying the effect of these exercises on learning spring in volleyball. The researchers used the experimental method on (25) students as experimental group and (27) students as controlling group and (15) students as pilot study group. The researchers conducted spiking tests then the data was collected and treated using proper statistical operations to conclude that the strategy have a positive effect in experimental group. Finally, the researchers recommended using the strategy in making similar studies on other subjects and skills.

M2RU: Memristive Minion Recurrent Unit for On-Chip Continual Learning at the Edge
...Show More Authors

Continual learning on edge platforms remains challenging because recurrent networks depend on energy-intensive training procedures and frequent data movement that are impractical for embedded deployments. This work introduces M2RU, a mixed-signal architecture that implements the minion recurrent unit for efficient temporal processing with on-chip continual learning. The architecture integrates weighted-bit streaming, which enables multi-bit digital inputs to be processed in crossbars without high-resolution conversion, and an experience replay mechanism that stabilizes learning under domain shifts. M2RU achieves ∼13 GOPS at 16.76 mW, corresponding to 776 GOPS per watt, and maintains accuracy within 5 percent of software baselines on seque

Evaluating Machine Learning Techniques for Carbonate Formation Permeability Prediction Using Well Log Data
...Show More Authors

Machine learning has a significant advantage for many difficulties in the oil and gas industry, especially when it comes to resolving complex challenges in reservoir characterization. Permeability is one of the most difficult petrophysical parameters to predict using conventional logging techniques. Clarifications of the work flow methodology are presented alongside comprehensive models in this study. The purpose of this study is to provide a more robust technique for predicting permeability; previous studies on the Bazirgan field have attempted to do so, but their estimates have been vague, and the methods they give are obsolete and do not make any concessions to the real or rigid in order to solve the permeability computation. Abstract<p>Autism spectrum disorder(ASD) is a neurological condition marked by impaired communication abilities, social detachment, and repetitive behaviors in individuals. Global health organization facing difficulties in establishing an effective ASD diagnostic system that facilitates precise analysis and early autism prediction. It is a scientific issue that necessitates resolution. This research presents an approach for the early prediction of children with ASD utilizing significant variables through machine learning (ML) methods. Three stages comprise the suggested technique. First, a 1250-case ASD dataset was identified and preprocessed. Five extremely effective traits with high Pearson c</p> ... Show More
