تضمن هذا العمل تحضير ليكند قاعدة شيف جديدة مشتقة من مادة البولي أكريلاميد والكلوترالديهايد [(2S, 2'S) – N, N' - (pentane-1, 5-diylidene) bis (2- methylbutan amide)]  مع بعض المعادن الثقيلة (Cr + 3 Mn + 3 , Fe + 3 , ,Co + 2,  Ni + 2 ,Cu + 2  Zn + 2 , Cd + 2,) لتنتج المعقدات المقابلة. تم تشخيص قواعد شيف ومعقداتها المعدنية بأستخدام طيف الأشعة تحت الحمراء والأشعة المرئية وفوق البنفسجية، والتوصيلية ,وقيم المغناطيسية والتحليل الحراري الوزني وحيود الأشعة السينية ومجه

Mixed ligand complexes of bivalent metal ions, viz; M= Fe(II),Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd (II), and Hg(II) of the composition Na2[M (Amox)(Sac)3] in 1:1:3 molar ratio, (where Amox = Amoxicillin tryhydrate (C16H19N3O5S.H2O) and Sac = Saccharine(C7H5NO3S) have been synthesized and characterized by repeated melting point determination, Solubility, Molar conductivity, determination the percentage of the metal in the complexes by flame(AAS), FT-IR, magnetic susceptibility measurements and electronic spectral data. The ligands and their metal complexes have been screened for their biological activity against selected microbial strains (gram +ve) and (gram -ve).

The compound azobenzen-p,p'-di(2-amine-1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-yl) (A) was formed by reacting 4,4'-(diazene-1,2-diyl)-dibenzoyl chloride with thiosemicarbazide. This new azo dye 7-(3-hydroxy-phenylazo)-quinoline-8-ol was subsequently used to prepare a series of complexes with the chlorides of Fe, Co, Zn, Ru, Rh and Cd. The compounds identified by 1H and 13C-NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, mass spectroscopy, as well as TGA, DSC, and C.H.N., conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, metal and chlorine content.
