دفعتنا الاوضاع السياسية الاخيرة التي تعرضت لها المدينة في حربها ضد الارهاب، الى الالتفات للوضع الحالي لمدينة الموصل وتحديدا المدينة القديمة على الضفة اليمنى من نهر دجلة للتذكير باهم احداث تاريخها وجمال تراثها الحضاري قبل تعرضه للتدمير على يد الارهاب، وفي هذا البحث استعرضنا مراحل نشأت ثم ولادة ونمو وتطور المدينة القديمة والتي يطلق عليها بالمراحل المورفولوجيه للتذكير بماضي المدينة واهميته من ثم تطرقنا الى اهم الشواهد التراثية الاسلامية التي تعرضت للتهديم والتخريب على يد الارهاب ونفذنا عدد من الخرائط الغرضية لموقع المدينة القديمة في الجانب الايمن من الموصل وعينا مساحة الدمار الذي اصاب المدينة القديمة ومساحتها بالنسبة للجانب الايمن من الموصل وموقع سورها القديم وابوابه معتمدين على نظم المعلومات الجغرافية وبرنامج الarc map تحديدا لتنفيذ هذا النوع من الخرائط
This study calculated the surface roughness length (Zo), zero-displacement length (Zd) and height of the roughness elements (ZH) using GIS applications.
