Philology is a science concerned with issues raised about language. It is a research into the mental aspects of its origin in its various sciences. The term (philology) appeared in the writings of Arab scholars in the fourth century AH. One of the most prominent topics of philology is research on the origin and development of language; Because it is one of the topics that preoccupied thinkers and many scholars, philosophers, and theologians, as well as linguists, have tackled research in it.

Resumen:

 El presente trabajo intenta analizar las características del lenguaje jurídico español a cuya estructura se debe su complejidad. A la vez, damos una descripción detallada de sus rasgos morfosintácticos, léxico-semánticos y estilísticos. En ningún momento, pretendemos fijar unas pautas o normas para la traducción de este lenguaje que requiere unos previos conocimientos jurídicos y cierta preparación para proceder a realizar esta tarea. Nuestra intención es, simplemente, ofrecer al lector árabe una pequeña visión de lo difícil que es comprender los textos legales españoles hasta para los nativos para imaginarse las posibles dificultades a la hora de iniciar a traducirlos.

This paper deals with the restrictive/nonrestrictive relative clauses in German and Arabic. I will, first of all, be concerned with some theories that have been provided to define the restrictive and the nonrestrictive relative clauses, particularly with the phonetic hypothesis. It will be, then, shown that the phonetic aspect is unable to give clear answers in this respect. The best way to determine restrictivity in both languages is, I think, by implementing of semantic indicators.

The present work focuses on examining the strategy of cognitive trips and the Arabic language teachers’ training needs of such a strategy when teaching Arabic language courses in the Saudi Arabia Kingdom. To achieve the objective of the study, and check whether this strategy is used in lesson planning, lesson teaching, or lesson assessment, a descriptive approach and a questionnaire have been adopted. The researchers used a number of statistical tools, and chose a purposive sample, which consists of (58) Arabic language teachers from Saudi Arabia Kingdom. The present paper addresses one of the most challenging topics in translation; namely legal translation in the framework of two different approaches; the classical (formal) and the more recent (functional). The latter approach is the outcome of the process of simplifying legal language known technically as Plain Language Movement.
