Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) – A Review
This paper explores VANET topics: architecture, characteristics, security, routing protocols, applications, simulators, and 5G integration. We update, edit, and summarize some of the published data as we analyze each notion. For ease of comprehension and clarity, we give part of the data as tables and figures. This survey also raises issues for potential future research topics, such as how to integrate VANET with a 5G cellular network and how to use trust mechanisms to enhance security, scalability, effectiveness, and other VANET features and services. In short, this review may aid academics and developers in choosing the key VANET characteristics for their objectives in a single document.

A high settlement may take place in shallow footing when resting on liquefiable soil if subjected to earthquake loading. In this study, a series of shaking table tests were carried out for shallow footing resting on sand soil. The input motion is three earthquake loadings (0.05g, 0.1g, and 0.2g). Expansive soils are recognized by their swelling potential upon wetting due to the existence of some clay minerals such as montmorillonite. An effective solution was found to avoid the danger of such soils by using piles. A single pile embedded in an elasto-plastic expansive soil has been analyzed by using one of the available software which is ABAQUS to investigate the effect of applied loads on pile’s top and investigate the effect of swelling soils on load carrying capacity of the pile. Determination of liquefaction potential for two selected sites in Kerbala city- middle of Iraq
Geotechnical characterization of the sites has been investigated with the collection of borehole data from different sources.
