My research interest is the plant resistance to arthropods, population genetics, and pest management. The wheat curl mite (WCM), Aceria tosichella Keifer, is my area of foucs because it is a global pest of wheat, Triticum aestivum L. The WCM reduces wheat yields by causing direct damage through feeding and vectoring several plant viruses that infect wheat. My research aims to improve mite-virus IPM by investigating impacts of the environment and various management tactics on WCM populations as well the disease incidence.
