Detecting protein complexes in protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks is a challenging problem in computational biology. To uncover a PPI network into a complex structure, different meta-heuristic algorithms have been proposed in the literature. Unfortunately, many of such methods, including evolutionary algorithms (EAs), are based solely on the topological information of the network rather than on biological information. Despite the effectiveness of EAs over heuristic methods, more inherent biological properties of proteins are rarely investigated and exploited in these approaches. In this paper, we proposed an EA with a new mutation operator for complex detection problems. The proposed mutation operator is formulated und

In this study, it was determined how to change from the second to the third mode, which is thought to be a precursor to the process of electrical breakdown, which results in a significant loss of electrical energy and harm to electrical devices and equipment. The initiation time, length, rate of propagation velocity, and radius of the streamer discharge were determined. The transition from the second to the third mode during the electrical discharge process may lead to the occurrence of an electrical breakdown, which is one of the greatest challenges facing scientists and engineers who deal with the

Nowadays, a strong relationship between the agriculture sectors and digital technologies is really interesting. The article describes how recent intelligent technologies can improve agricultural fields. Mobile applications are software programs created on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Agricultural fields mainly represent the pillar of the economy and the business sector that fulfills the world's food requirements. The United States has a valuable rank in potato production, which depends on this production economically.
Nevertheless, so many insects affect potato yield production quantitatively and qualitatively. So, a smartphone App was created to help potato growers diagnose insects that directly attack potato cro

Show MoreIn this article, we investigate the peristaltic flow of a Powell-Eyring fluid flowing in an asymmetrical channel with an inclining magnetic field through a porous medium, and we focus on the impact that varying rotation has on this flow. Long wavelength and low Reynolds number are assumed, where the perturbation approach is used to solve the nonlinear governing equations in the Cartesian coordinate system to produce series solutions. Distributions of velocity and pressure gradients are expressed mathematically. The effect of these parameters is discussed and illustrated graphically through the set of figures. To get these numerical results, we used the math program MATHEMATICA.
Deep learning techniques allow us to achieve image segmentation with excellent accuracy and speed. However, challenges in several image classification areas, including medical imaging and materials science, are usually complicated as these complex models may have difficulty learning significant image features that would allow extension to newer datasets. In this study, an enhancing technique for object detection is proposed based on deep conventional neural networks by combining levelset and standard shape mask. First, a standard shape mask is created through the "probability" shape using the global transformation technique, then the image, the mask, and the probability map are used as the levelset input to apply the image segme

Also, we used an alternating game in which the response of the second player depends on the choice of the first one. Many results of winning and losing strategies have been studied, consistent with the nature of the topological groups. As well as, we presented some topological groups, which fail to have winning strategies and we give some illustrated examples. Finally, the effect of functions on the aforementioned compactness strategies was studied.
Colorectal Cancer (CRC) is a global medical problem that has a high rate of mortality. Interestingly, evaluating the hematopoietic growth factors is useful in the early diagnosis of CRC. Henceforth, this study was designed to measure the potential role of Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and Interleukin 3 (IL-3) in CRC progress and their relation to P53 expression and global DNA methylation (5mC). Blood samples were collected from a total of 60 Iraqi patients who participated in this study and were diagnosed with CRC, and from 30 healthy volunteers who served as control for comparison purposes. Serum levels of GM-CSF and IL-3 were assessed quantitatively using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
