Evaluation of Some Male and Female Rats’ Reproductive Hormones Following Administration of Aspartame With or Without Vitamin C or E
...Show More Authors

Aspartame (ASP) is a sugar substitute. Its use rose because it has been demonstrated to have deleterious effects after being metabolized. In the presence of antioxidant vitamins C or E, the effects of ASP on reproductive hormones of adult male and female Albino Wister rats were investigated. A total of eighty male and female rats were used in this study. The rats were divided into four groups: group 1, received no treatment; group 2, received ASP at 40 mg/kg BW; group 3, received ASP at 40 mg/kg BW with vitamin C at 150 mg/kg BW; and group 4, received ASP at 40 mg/kg BW and vitamin E at 100 mg/kg BW. All treatments were given orally by gavage needle once daily for consecutive 90 days. The levels of estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating ho

A broiler poultry farm of six weeks old, vaccinated with LaSota Newcastle disease virus vaccine. The flock was infected with a virulent Newcastle disease virus with mortality rate up to 90%. Newcastle disease virus was isolated from infected birds in embryonated chicken eggs and identified by haemagglutination inhibition test using hyperimmune serum prepared against LaSota viral vaccine. Median Death Time, Intracerebral Pathogenicity Index and Intravenous Pathogenicity Index proved that the virus was a virulent viscerotropic isolate. In experimental infection, broilers were vaccinated twice with LaSota strain, the level of anti-Newcastle disease virus IgG was checked by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay test pre

Catalyst gas phase ammoxidation of 2,3, and 4- picolines in a fixed bed reactor is described
the catalyst applied composed of Vanadium (V) and tin (Sn) Oxides supported on Al2O3 as
described in recent papers (1), (2). The effect of NH3, O2, contact time and temperature of the
picoline mole ratios on the yield and conversion of the products was studied. The conversation
and yield are in the rate of 2-picoline> 4-picoline > 3-picoline.
The applied catalyst was active even after 150 hours of reaction. The highest yield obtained
of nicotinic acid was 90%, 88%, 87% 2-picoline, 4-picoline and 3-picoline respectively.
