Results of the experiment at initiation stage revealed that the culture of single nodes of viburnum on a medium containing 4 mg.l-1 BA gave the highest number of shoots (2.21 shoots/explant). Concerning the interaction, a nutrient medium containing (2 mg.l-1 BA+ 0.4 mg.l-1 IAA) gave the highest values of mean number of shoots, leaves and length of new shoots (1.61 sh

Total flavonoids concentration were estimated using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The highest flavonoids concentration were recorded in ethanol extract. Acute inflammation was induced in laboratory animals (rabbits) by injecting 0.1mL of 2.5% formalin inside the wound incision. Aqueous and ethanol extracts of pomegranate seeds an anti-inflammatory and healing effect compared with the Vaseline

After chilling at 40c for 24h, the carcass was split along the vertebral column into two halves by electric saw, and the left side was separated into eight whole sale cuts and were physically dissected into lean, fat and bone and weighed. Results reveal that the overall mean of lean, fat, bone, lean: fat and lean: bone ratio were 60.31±0.25%, 17.05± 0.69%, 22.63 ± 0.59%, 3.78 ±0.20 and 2.71 ± 0.06, respectively. Results revealed that overall means of daily gain in weight, dressing percentage based on slaughter and empty body weight, rib eye area and fat thickness were 0.258±0.01 kg, 46.54± 0.49%, 54.35 ± 0.40%, 14.98 ±0.44 cm2 and 2.86 ± 0.12 mm, respectively. It seems that Awassi lambs significantly surpass Karadi lambs in dressing percentage based on slaughter weight and had thicker subcutaneous fat, only. Also, lambs fed ad lib e

In this study, the DA of air PC, such as carbon monoxide (CO) and sulphur dioxide (SO2), was measured during heavy traffic in the summer season for five different locations throughout 2017, and comparison made with results similarly obtained in 2012. The particulate matter sample has been collected for the same period. The daily average meteorological parameters (MP) such as temperature (T), atmospheric pressure (AP), wind direction (WD), wind speed (WS) and relative humidity (RH) were meas

The Genetic analyses for the study were carried out at the Biotechnology Research Center / Al-Nahrain University using PCR technology to obtain alleles for the studied microsatellites. The results of this study indicate that there is a multiplicity of genotypes and alleles resulting from these markers among the members of the single breed and between the studied breeds. It was rev

The study included two levels of drought induced by sorbitol (0 and 20 g l-1), two concentration of SA (0 and 20 mg l-1), and four concentrations of ZnONPs (0, 100, 200, and 300 ppm). Drought stress by sorbitol showed negative effects on some characteristics of callus culture fresh weight (FW), dry weight (DW), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The exogenous SA showed a positive in most characteristics except for DW

An isolate of Weissella confusa UPM22MT04 was isolated from a wastewater treatment plant in Johor, Malaysia, and was utilized to synthesize ZnO-NPs. The synthesized ZnO-NPs were characterized through several techniques, including UV-visible spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and dynamic light scattering. Monodisperse spherical ZnO-NPs of 1.7 - 7.9 nm were obtained with 0.1 M zinc nitrate at 80°C. Th

The research focuses on developing smart systems for managing agricultural fields, thus facilitating decision-making, increasing agricultural productivity, improving profitability and protecting the environment. The paper highlights the ability of drones to distinguish agricultural land intended for cultivation and classified as deserted or cultivated or in the germination stage. For the first time in the Nineveh governorate, a Phantom 4 DJI UAV images were used, in addition to using the spatialized Pix4Dfielde program to process these images. Four types of the standard agricultural indices that rely on the vi

Fecal Egg Count Reduction Test (FECRT) was used to accomplish this goal. Forty 6–24 month-old sheep of mixed sexes were selected from each farm and randomly divided into four groups. One group served as the untreated control, and the other groups orally administered the recommended doses of the tested drugs. Multidrug resistance against all three drugs was present in 8 of 25 farms (32%). Also, resistance to albendazole and ivermectin was detected on one farm. Albendazole was the most effective anthelmintic agent. Resistance to ivermectin was significa
