characters and epipelic algal communities . Monthly samples for 12 month
were taken starting January 2009 . It was found that the lake is alkaline , well
oxygenated ,oligohaline with low electrical conductivity and hard water . The

Ricinnus communis herb produces significant antimicrobial activity particularly against Gram negative bacteria, in comparison with standard antibiotics. Four bacterial genera were selected two Gram negative (Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa); and two Gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus fecalis). In vitro test has been made to find out the efficacy of aqueous and ethanolic extract of Peganum harmala seeds against Entamoeba histolytica in three concentrations (1000, 1500, 2000 μg/ml) in an exposure time of 2hrs, preliminary chemical analysis has been performed for some chemical groups which may exist in the seeds.
Results showed that all concentrations of alcohol extracts caused high mortality against parasite by using the alcohol extract in all used concentrations, this may due to the high containing of alkaloids. The highest mortality percentage achieved by alcohol extract was 97.5% while it was 90.1% by aqueous extract at 2000 μg/ml.

Kinetic studies were carried out on the reaction between 1,4-Diaminobutaneand
dimeric fatty acids in melt phase . The reaction was performed at 123, 138, 146,
160, and 170 ºC and followed by determining the acid value of the product .The

A reflector was picked on (52) selarnic sections, (2960 km lengthi, in Um-Al-Anz area, western desert. It has two way time ranges between (2940-3700) msee. The geochemistry and mineralogy of the three formations ; Sargelu, Naokelekan and Chia Gara are studied using XRF, XRD, SEM, and EDS-elemental map analyses. These formations represent Jurassic sequences exposed to the North of Zakho within the North Thrust Zone, and constitute bituminous carbonate and shale rocks. The average concentrations of SiO2 and CaO in carbonate rocks are (11.7%, 7.75% and 9.16%) and (32.40%, 27.51% and 46.73%) in Sargelu, Naokelekan and Chia Gara Formations respectively, whereas in shale rocks are (27.51% and 19.48%) and (7.09% and 4.60%) in Sargelu and Naokelekan Formations. To achieve the water balance the meteorological data from Kirkuk station for the period (1970 to 2016) was used to calculate the water surplus and water deficit. Based on Mehta's model the water surplus (Ws) is equal to (127.86 mm/ year) representing 36.87 % of the total rainfall, while 63.13% of the total rainfall are water deficit. A marine geophysical survey using high-resolution Sub Bottom Profiler was
carried out for Palinurus Shoal (PS) , one of the shallow sites within Iraqi marine
borders, NW of the Arabian Gulf. Eight parallel transverses survey lines of (SBP)

In Paracoccus denitrificans Pd1222 bacterium, Pden_3633 encoding gene has been nominated to encode for Isovaleryl CoA dehydrogenase (IVDH) [1], the enzyme which involve in leucine catabolism pathway. In this study, this putative IVDH was investigated. IVDH encoding gene from P. denitrificans Pd1222 in addition to desired features for cloning, expression and purification have been designed and synthesized. The synthetic coding sequence was expressed in Escherichia coli. The enzyme was purified as a Strep-Tagged protein with a total protein 220.5 mg. An apparent molecular weight of 42.9 kDa was determined on SDS gel. Amino acid alignment showed a very high similarity (91-96%) with corresponding IVDH from several other Paracoccus species. A
