Study the Axail Dispersion Model in Ion Exchange Column
...Show More Authors

A mathematical model is developed which predicates the performance of cylindrical ion exchange bed involving comparing of axial dispersion model for cation exchange column with different assumption, this model permits the performance to predicate the residence time within the bed with the variance, axial dispersion and Pecklet No. to indicated deviation from plug flow model.

Two type of systems are chosen for positive ions first with divalent ions (Ca+2) to exchange with resin of Na+1form used as application in  water softener units and second with monovalent ions (Na+1) to exchange with resin of H+1 form used as application in deionize water units &n

Correlation between psoriasis severity and dyslipidaemia in Iraqi patients
...Show More Authors

Background/Aim: Psoriasis is a persistent systemic disorder characterised by chronic inflammation and linked to multiple comorbidities, including arthritis, cardiometabolic disorders, obesity and hyperlipidaemia. Objective of this study was to identify the relationship of abnormal lipid profiles and psoriasis, as well as to pinpoint factors that correlate with disease severity. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out at the dermatology clinic over 6 months from the 1 August 2024 to the 1 February 2025. Patients aged 15 years and above with a diagnosis of psoriasis were enrolled. For each patient two sets of data were collected, demographical characteristics (age, sex, disease duration and the body mass index (BMI)) and the

Farnesoid X Receptor-Mediated Bile Acids Regulation in Cholestasis
...Show More Authors

The main process, for the elimination of cholesterol from the human body, involves the alteration of cholesterol into bile acid (BA), by the liver. The farnesoid X receptor (FXR), a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily, is essential for the regulation of BA, glucose, and lipid metabolism. It is largely found in the liver, intestines, kidney, and adrenal glands, and to a smaller degree in the heart and adipose tissue. The binding locations, of the FXR, are in close proximity to formerly undisclosed target genes, with distinctive activities associated with transcriptional regulators, autophagy, apoptosis, hypoxia, inflammation, RNA processing, and a number of cellular signaling pathways. The preservation of BA homeostasis, by the FXR, e

Monolithically integrated membrane-in-the-middle cavity optomechanical systems
...Show More Authors

We describe curved-mirror Fabry-Perot cavities with embedded silicon nitride membranes, fabricated using a monolithic surface-micromachining process. The presence of the suspended membranes was confirmed by confocal microscopy, and their properties were verified through optical studies and thermomechanical calibration of mechanical/vibrational noise spectra measured at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The cavities exhibit reflectance-limited finesse (F ∼ 103) and wavelength-scale mode volumes (VM ∼ 10·λ3). The short cavity length (L ∼ 2·

Thought and emotion with their role in interior design
...Show More Authors

The current research deals with thought and emotion and their role in interior design, and in the firstchapter, the research problem was identified through contemplation and an extensive study of theextent of the possibility of representing thought and emotion and shedding light on them according towhat the research seeks to express, which theorizations in the field of interior design have not beenexposed to. The importance of the research was manifested in being a cognitive addition to researchersin the field of interior design in the College of Fine Arts and its corresponding colleges, to benefit from ascientific material that is unique in dealing with the terms of thought and emotion in designs for publicinterior spaces by studying the d

Gingival Marginal Leakage of Different Tooth Colored Materials Combination as an Intermediate Layer in Class II Composite Restoration (A Comparative In Vitro Study)
...Show More Authors

Background: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate and compare the microleakage between Vertise Flow T M composite material and other conventional (Filtek Z250, riva light cure and SDR) composite materials when restoring CII mesial box only cavity at gingival margin through die penetration test Materials and methods: Forty maxillary first premolars were prepared with class II box design only cavities. Samples were divided into four groups of ten teeth according to material used: group I (FiltekZ250 only). Group II (SDR+FiltekZ250). Group III (Vertise Flow +FiltekZ250). Group IV (Riva light cure+ FiltekZ250). After 24 hrs. immersion in 2% in methylene blue, samples were sectioned and micro leakage was estimated. Results: None of the
